Earth & water

Earth is in front of us, behind us, beneath our feet. In between there is water, the rivers and the seas. We hold on to what we cherish, grab on to fragments of truth, settle on a common ground of mutual understanding.

I work in the port of Antwerp, organizing - or rather monitoring - the flow of cargo that is shipped to the Far East. As our former mayor Lode Craeybeckx used to say: "An Antwerpian only needs to stick his hand in the river Scheldt to be connected with the rest of the world."

Ours is an awesome story of vast distances, planting seeds and reaping the countless fruits of labor.
